We didn't have long to be in Paris because our focus was Versailles and Normandy. Our hotel was a 75 meters from the Seine, 3 blocks for Notre Dame, and 2 blocks from Shakespeare Bookstore. Also, 2 blocks from the station to catch the train to the airport. We took the Toot Bus around and got off at various places such as the Arc de Triumph and Eifel Tower. We took the boat ride down the Seine and spent a couple of hours walking beside the river and sitting to snack and watch the people walking by. Delightful time that was too short.

Great city for walking and jogging.
Great city for walking and jogging. I ran along the Seine and through the Tuileries early every day and it was lovely.
The Pompidou Centre is worth a visit, whatever is showing, and there's a good ice cream parlour straight opposite.
It's a tourist thing to do, but I'd recommend an open top bus trip. If you're lucky the traffic will snarl up round Place de Concorde and you can spend a happy half hour watching the gendarmerie trying to sort it out!

What has changed over the years is that you can communicate in English almost everywhere. People are friendly and helpful. You can’t order dessert and cafe only at the restaurant, there need to be a food order first. Book the entrance tickets to the most popular places online in advance and be aware of waiting in queues.

The metro is great, quick and easy to get around. Buy a Paris visite pass for 3 or 5 days. Most things are in the first zone.
A very walkable, stylish city, full of life!

People and attraction's are great, some of the signage at some of the Metro stations is hard to find but you just have to walk a little further and check all directions. Download City Mapper App, it is much better than Google maps which had me going over my own tracks several times though I did use both ,sometimes at the same time.

Paris is a fantastic city to visit however understand that...
Paris is a fantastic city to visit however understand that some sites are very crowded. Many sites require timed tickets which need to be booked in advance. Despite timed tickets, the Louvre and Versailles are completely crowded to the point of being unbearable. Smaller sites are much better to visit -- we visited a number of smaller museums and sites that were much less crowded and enjoyable. We highly recommend getting a Paris Museum Pass or card that prepays admission at sites. You still need to get timed entries were required, but you skip the ticket purchase line entirely. If you are going to the Louvre, Versailles, or the Eiffel Tower, then this is a huge advantage. Paris is getting ready for the Olympics so there is lots of construction. I would say that English is readily spoken by most people we met, so we did not have at speak terrible French. Restaurants have added "English subtitles" to their menus, so ordering is easy. All the food was great, of course. We found people very nice and welcoming. Best of all, Paris is a walkable city and we enjoyed being out an about in the city itself. Definitely go visit Paris!
This hotel was cuter and much nicer than I expected. We had the room with the terrace and really enjoyed the views from the terrace. The staff were very helpful and accommodating as well. We spent the first part of our Paris stay over in the 1st arrondissement, and while it was very convenient to be there, it was also very noisy at night. The 3 Poussins is in a quieter residential neighborhood, and we really enjoyed the peace and quiet on our final night in France.
We only had the breakfast on the last day, but it was a great selection, especially for the price! The decor of the rooms was also lovely - not bland chain or too weird or cheap-looking, just nice boutique hotel. Location was very useful for catching the Metro around Paris and when we arrived at Gare du Nord it was a very short walk from the station. We requested two rooms next to each other as we travelled with kids and they were able to do that no problem.
I expected it to be a bit rubbish, to be honest, because it's a cheap hotel that we booked at very short notice. Actually, it's got charm. It's clean, the staff are nice, and when you're leaning out of your window over the tiny balcony, four floors up a slightly wonky staircase, looking out onto the mansard roofs and tall windows of the courtyard and listening to the muffled bustle of the rue de St Antoine - you know you could be nowhere else but Paris.
very clean air conditioned apartment. it is 5 min walk to Louvre, the metro station and across from bank de France so a very safe central location.many restaurants and a couple of supermarkets in walking distance. The owner is super friendly and was there to meet us and gave us instructions and tips for the apartment and things to do in Paris. The place has 2 full bathroom and washer and dryer which was very convenient for our family with kids.
The location and staff are excellent. Very helpful and hospitable. I also liked the breakfast and the lobby and some rooms are renovated. I was also pleasantly pleased with how clean everything was. We traveled around France and stayed in this hotel at the beginning and ending of our trip. On the first days we stayed in the second floor and it was very quiet, nice rooms and I cannot express how good a staff they have.
Great unpretentious hotel situated in quiet side street at the bottom end of Rue du Bac. Perfect room and hotel size and facilities. Breakfast (extra, not cheap€14) excellent quality, quantity & variety. Nice communal areas, with complementary tea & coffee. Very courteous staff.
4 metro stations within 5 or 6 mins walk
Lovely part of Paris close to everything but not touristy.
I assume this is the best value for the money in Paris. It is a small room with everything you need if you are ok with the basics—great location, restful and quiet.
We walked everywhere from here.
We got there using the metro which was cheaper than the taxi.
From the hotel to ORLY Airport was a short 18minutes ride for 27 Euros
Very nice, quiet hotel in the Latin quarter of Paris. For our stay of a few days it was perfect. Close to lots of good restaurants, Notre Dame Cathedral and the river. Room was lovely, decorated in the French style which we loved. Staff were friendly and helpful with our many questions (we are not from France).
Awesome stay in Paris
Staff were highly accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure our stay in France was amazing.
No request was an issue. Comfortable bed and perfect location.
Highly recommend you stay here. Were so thankful to the staff for all they did for us.
Cathy & Shannon 😊
nice location, near a metro and close to station. A cheap hotel in an old building so you get what you pay for. The staff were friendly. The room was a bit shabby and old looking ,, ,and not particularly clean looking, but probably just old.
value for money (a room in the centre of paris!)
The location is perfect, the staff is super friendly, and the breakfast is good, especially for France (not only bread :) ). The room was big and had a nice view of the building across the road (so Parisian!).
We were allowed to leave our luggage at the hotel after check-out.
I recommend this hotel because:
The staff was very friendly, helpful specially Mohammed, he speaks English, France and Arabic very well, he bought us tickets inside Paris. The room was very clean. The location very near to metro station.
The hotel is ideally situated. Best to park in Vichy Montmartre car park and book in advance. We got a free upgrade which we appreciated. Largest room I ever stayed in in Paris. It's not cheap but worth it for a treat.
Great location, clean room, incredible staff. Staff went over and above to help us and store our luggage for over three weeks while we’re on a bike trip in France. I plan to stay here the next time I visit Paris.
Places was super clean and we felt decently safe! not the location you would think of staying in paris but super close to bus stops, metro, trains ect! Quiet at night and classic france during the day!
Great location, clean, cheap (for city centre Paris) and nice friendly staff. If you're more interested in the location than the facilities then it's good for the non fussy traveller.
this hotel is old and a bit rundown but so much cheaper than anything else in Paris, the staff are super nice and the rooms are cleaned every day. Would stay again.
